Children and Students

"Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to people like these"
- Jesus, in Matthew 19:14.

Kids are a huge part of who we are at Worthington Christian Church.

Sunday mornings from 9-11:30am:
You'll find kids of all ages in Sunday School, serving and worshiping along with our adults. Following offering in our worship service, kids in grades 1-4 are dismissed for Junior Church. There, they'll learn in a space just for them.

Worship On Wednesdays (WOW) from 4-8pm:
We have a meal together in family groups and then split up for disciple-making in various age groups (Prek-12th grade). We have a number of awesome adult leaders who make Wednesday nights happen and we are always looking for more. Contact Dan or Lydia to learn how you could be be a part of this team. Registering for WOW is simple- just fill this out and email or bring it to WCC.

Throughout the year:
There are many opportunities for us to be in community with students from Summer camp at Pine Haven Christian Assembly, Weekend Retreats, CIY events and Vacation Bible School.

Things change a bit during Summer. Please contact the church for more information about Summer camps for grades 3 and above at Pine Haven Christian Assembly.

Safety:
Each adult working with children, whether they serve in the kitchen, as a Table Parent during meals, at Registration, Teaching or as a Driver is subject to a background check process BEFORE they can serve. Also, we have frequent and ongoing training opportunities to equip them in 3 areas:

  1. Personal discipleship and relationship with Jesus
  2. Developing skills and giftedness
  3. Building community and relationships with others.
